Doing Business in Russia

Joining the Special Economic Zone

Pauli Haatainen’s entrepreneurial activity started in the year 2003 when he found that there were no golf courses around Saint Petersburg. After that the project Gatchina Gardens was launched with partial financial support of the EU and Finland. The European politicians and investors arouse profound interest to the project – it became one of the largest projects in the Baltics. Eastkey is still consulting the investors on Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

The total value of the project equals more than 2 billion euros. It provides Finnish companies with an opportunity to start doing business and expand their activities in Russia. The project was granted the status of the Special Economic Zone.
